Bottles will provide 6-8 full mask treatments.
Directions:
* First hydrate with your chosen liquid. For extra detox use diluted apple cider vinegar. For a simple clay mask use your favourite facial toner or hydrosol, or distilled water. For an extra gentle clay treatment use milk, yoghurt and/or honey. For intense conditioning, use your favourite oil as the clay hydrator.
* Add about 1 teaspoon of clay to your liquid and mix to a smooth paste. Thicker is better, so add the liquid slowly until you reach the desired consistency. Use non-metal utensils, in order to prevent any reaction with the clays.
* Apply to face using fingertips or a brush and leave for 10-15 minutes. Extend the treatment by misting the clay with your toner so it doesn’t dry as quickly. Wash off before it fully dries, add water or spray with toner to soften the clay before removing with a wet cloth.
* If the clay dries on skin it will be harder to wash off and can cause irritation so be sure to wash off before this happens. Afterwards use your toner and moisturise as normal.
Clay properties:
French Yellow Clay is full of essential minerals that help to heal and repair the skin. It also gently exfoliates and removes dead skin cells, resulting in fresh, healthy looking skin. Great choice for problem skin which needs some repair.
Australian Red Clay is an oily clay that works wonders on the eye area to improve the appearance of dark circles and reduce puffiness, while improving elasticity. The iron oxide content can reduce the appearance of broken capillaries and lighten skin.
Kaolin Clay a traditional healing clay, used for centuries in poultices and clay packs for treating wounds and inflammation. This makes the clay a great choice for healing damaged skin, and its disinfectant properties help to heal existing skin blemishes and irritations.
