Clay mask – Detox: a blend of French green and bentonite clay, with dead sea mud and coconut charcoal. The deep detoxing properties of the clays and the coconut charcoal will draw out impurities, restore the skins natural PH balance and leave skin conditioned and fresh.
Bottles will provide 6-8 full mask treatments.
Directions:
* First hydrate with your chosen liquid. For extra detox use diluted apple cider vinegar. For a simple clay mask use your favourite facial toner or hydrosol, or distilled water. For an extra gentle clay treatment use milk, yoghurt and/or honey. For intense conditioning, use your favourite oil as the clay hydrator.
* Add about 1 teaspoon of clay to your liquid and mix to a smooth paste. Thicker is better, so add the liquid slowly until you reach the desired consistency. Use non-metal utensils, in order to prevent any reaction with the clays.
* Apply to face using fingertips or a brush and leave for 10-15 minutes. Extend the treatment by misting the clay with your toner so it doesn’t dry as quickly. Wash off before it fully dries, add water or spray with toner to soften the clay before removing with a wet cloth.
* If the clay dries on skin it will be harder to wash off and can cause irritation so be sure to wash off before this happens. Afterwards use your toner and moisturise as normal.
Clay properties:
French Green Clay a highly effective clay for drawing impurities and cleansing pores. It removes excess oils from the skin which helps oil regulation. The negative charge of the clay attracts impurities, which makes it an excellent choice for skin detox and deep cleaning, particularly for oily skin.
Bentonite Clay another excellent detox clay due to its drawing and absorption properties, draws out impurities while leaving skin toned, conditioned and smooth.
Dead Sea Mud a sand like clay from the dead sea in Israel. High concentration of salt and minerals which can help with acne and eczema. Excellent skin boosting qualities – people have been covering themselves in the mud of the dead sea for centuries!
