About Amberjack

Back Story

Amberjack Candle Company started with a goal to create a different kind of home fragrance. We debuted our amber jar and black lid range in our small Paeroa shop in 2016. While over time our packaging, fragrances and image have been refined - our goal has always remained the same.

We value good quality products with a good price tag. Our inspiration comes from seeing beautiful spaces and being inspired to create a product that can fit into each and every one of them. Each fragrance has been carefully selected and hand crafted into a beautiful home fragrance product by one of our team.

Our Products

All products are made and packaged by hand in our Paeroa factory.  The candle journey starts with a lead-free, cotton braided wick attached to the jar by hand. Our Chandler then blends 100% pure soy wax with our pthalate & paraben free fragrance oils and hand-pours a batch of candles in that days fragrance.  Our water-based roomsprays and oil-based diffusers are made with the same fine fragrance oils, so you can be sure your favourite fragrance will smell the same in a diffuser/spray as it does in a candle!

We only use simple, no-fuss packaging, with all of our labels designed and printed in-house by us.

Our Factory

We work from our old factory in Paeroa, one road back from the main street and easily accessible via the alleyway.  The factory is completely original and still has its old steel gantry in the roof, from its early days housing the printing press for the local newspaper. We love our old factory and the industrial vibe fits in perfectly with the aesthetic of Amberjack.  Out front is a small factory shop with our full selection of products available for purchase.
